Some cat at Radio Next, "one of the most important, underground and influential radio stations in Moscow" hit me up to do a radio show of "a mix from the present (fresh and exclusive)."

So I'm DJ Red Army Alert all of a sudden or Elmatticski Love, or some shit, I don't know, what the fuck?

I'm interpreting "a mix from the present" as "best underground hip hop bangers of 2008."

So far I'm thinking Doomtree, Akrobatik, Almighty, Mighty Underdogs, Killah Priest's "Stained Glass Freestyle"...but help a tovarisch out here, fam: what were the best tracks of the year from beneath the surface?
